“After being referred to PP, I have to admit I approached the whole thing with a certain amount of scepticism...How wrong I was!!

3 ½ stone later, I'm still enjoying the food every day and feeling fantastic... Huge thanks to all at PP.” Mr ND

New Year, New You!

In the same way smelly people don’t like being given deodorant, people who feel they’re overweight probably don’t like being given diet vouchers. This is why we suggest you hand over these gift vouchers at Christmas, well before the turkey and mince pies take their toll. That way, come the inevitable New Year resolutions, you’ll be able to helpfully remind them of the Pure Package vouchers you so thoughtfully gave. It might also be worth emphasising the convenience factor, rather than the weight loss aspect…

Also, for every voucher you give, you will receive a complimentary day’s food from us.* So if you give 10 vouchers, you’ll receive 10 days free food. Then, if for some bizarre reason you feel the need to lose a few pounds soon after New Year, you’ll be able to too!

Gift vouchers are available all year round, in periods of 10 to 90 days, and can be sent directly to you or the recipient. They are valid against any of our programmes, from weight loss to energy gain.

*This offer is open to past clients of the Pure Package and includes our regular delivery within the M25.

Between Christmas and New Year, we are going to be busy hibernating and eating lots of yummy food. We like to call this research and in truth it is, this holiday period we will be creating, testing and tasting over 70 new scrumptious healthy dishes to add to your menus in 2008.
In order to concentrate on this we are suspending deliveries during this period. If you have any recipe suggestions then please send them our way so that we can try them out. We are confident you will survive this short period without us and as a helping hand have some tips for you.

Lemon Aid

This time of year lemons and honey are not only good for your immune system, but can also help nurture your skin, ready for those Christmas parties.  Citrus has astringent, antiseptic and detoxifying effects on the skin.  Lemon in particular reduces hyper-pigmentation and also exfoliates.
Blend together the following ingredients: 1tsp lemon juice, 2tsps honey, 6oz of plain natural yoghurt, 1 drop ylang-ylang essential oil and ¼ cup oatmeal or crushed almonds.  Apply to the face and allow to dry.  Rinse off with warm water.  Towel dry and moisturise to seal in all that goodness.

Why not try replacing the lemons with satsumas for a really seasonal touch….

Holiday Tips:

  1.  Divide your plate - remember that half your plate should be vegetables. Try putting the abundance of all those lightly steamed winter vegetables on to your plate before adding the turkey, roast potatoes and all the trimmings.
  2. Feast on festive fruits & nuts – top up your antioxidant levels with satsumas, cranberries and pomegranates, helping us to fight off those winter colds and flu.
  3. Smell those chestnuts roasting on an open fire? - nuts contain essential fats which can help to soothe the digestive tract.  Enjoy a handful together with a piece of fruit to balance your blood sugar and keep up your energy levels for that marathon game of Trivial Pursuit!
  4.  A brisk walk  - if it is your holiday tradition to go schussing down the slopes or for a long walk after lunch then opt instead to get everyone out of the door before the feast to get your metabolism going and build up an appetite.  After eating it is better to sit and let your meal digest.
  5. Remember you can still treat yourself – don’t deny yourself the odd mince pie or slice of Christmas cake.   Enjoy your treats slowly.  Savour the flavour with a warming cup of tea and you shouldn’t get that urge to overindulge.  Eating slowly gives our brain time to recognise what we have eaten, and often a couple of mouthfuls are all that is needed to satisfy.
