Go to work on… a full stomach!

Summer is nearly over, and it’s time to flick a switch in your head – the one which says “Autumn Routine”! There are hundreds of small changes you could make to make your life healthier or simpler or more balanced – but here’s our favourite.

Quite simply, the best habit you can create this autumn is to eat a healthy, substantial, nutritionally-sound breakfast daily.  Research after research shows that weight-loss is best achieved – and maintained – not only with an overall healthy diet, but by fuelling your body properly each morning. Eating a good breakfast will boost your metabolism, increase your concentration throughout the day, and prevent a mid-morning sugar-slump (and as such, decrease your chances of reaching for unhealthy snacks). But best of all, it will give you one extra opportunity a day for trying our delicious, wholesome meal-plans!  Here are a few of our favourites –

  • Avocado on whole-grain toast, topped with poached egg
  • Roasted mushrooms on rye or spelt toast, with curd cheesemushrooms_on_toast
  • Porridge with grated apple, cinnamon and raisins
  • Bircher muesli with coconut and mango
  • Oat pancakes with yoghurt and berries

And of course if you simply don’t have time to make, or sit down and eat, a balanced, delicious breakfast, just give us a call.  Breakfasts – and all balanced, delicious meals and snacks – is what we’re all about!
