A Staycation is the new Vacation

Here The Pure Package reveals some of the best places to go, as well as offering the perfect solution to making sure you’re looking your best when you get there!

Now is the time of year when most people will be browsing the web and the travel magazines to find that perfect destination for two weeks of summer sun. This year however, Santorini, Sardinia and the Seychelles are making way for Scotland, St Ives and Saunton Sands as people buy into the growing trend of the ‘Staycation’.

So much is happening in the UK over the summer, with the Diamond Jubilee and The Olympics that it seems that the world is coming to us and maybe they’re onto something. People in Britain are beginning to realise that you don’t need to take a six hour flight to find that holiday paradise as it can be found right on our doorsteps, but with such a diverse mix of places to visit around Britain it can be difficult to choose where to go.

We’ve all got our pre-summer routine, digging out the summer wardrobe favourites and hitting the shops to stock up on this year’s new summer styles. Also you may still be trying to decide whether to go to Cornwall or Croatia but two things are certain, you want a great relaxing holiday and you want to look your best. The Pure Package can help on both fronts.

Here The Pure Package reveals some of the best British beach destinations which are as far as you can imagine from the drab stereotype of days gone by. Britain has some of the most stunning bays and coves in the world and with a bit of inside knowledge you can find some real hidden gems right here on home soil.

Porthcurno is considered one of the UK’s most beautiful bays with white sands and clear blue water set against a dramatic backdrop of steep granite cliffs. At low tide it’s possible to walk to several other equally perfect beaches within the bay.

Saunton Sands consists of three miles of pristine beach sheltered by one of the world’s largest sand dune systems. With waves rolling in off the Atlantic, Saunton is popular with surfers and hosts the annual Atlantic Watersports Games each July. The beach has been used as a backdrop for a host of films, photo shoots and album covers ranging from Pink Floyd to Robbie Williams.

Rhossili Bay on the western tip of the Gower Peninsular in South Wales was recently voted the best beach in Britain. With views across the Bristol Channel and all the way to South Devon, the bay was made famous by Dylan Thomas who wrote about it in his story An Extraordinary Little Cough.

The beach which is accessed by a wooden bridge from the picturesque village of Walberswick is backed by over 1000 square miles of protected heath and marshland meaning the area’s outstanding natural beauty is protected from over development. With stunning views and picture-perfect sand dunes it’s no surprise that the artists are drawn to paint this long and empty stretch of sand.

Isles of Scilly

When visiting Pentle Bay at Tresco it can be easy to forget that you’re still in Britain. Bright white sand, azure blue waters and (often) brilliant blue skies make it feel more like a tropical island. The Isles of Scilly get some of Britain’s best weather making it a great choice for your ‘staycation’ destination.

You know where to go but how do you make sure you’re looking your best when you get there?

By following The Pure Package weight loss programme you won’t feel for a moment that you’re on a diet. It’s the most convenient way for you to make sure you look fantastic in those new summer outfits. So you can get into shape without feeling like you’re depriving yourself.

Enjoy a breakfast of cottage cheese and ripe avocado served on rye bread with a roasted plum tomato. Lunch could be Shitake mushrooms, coconut rice noodles, mange tout and free-range chicken served with an Asian coconut dressing. For dinner you could be enjoying coriander and lime marinated kingfish served with mange tout and a black bean, tomato, chilli and onion salsa. This is not typical ‘diet food’ but then again, this isn’t your typical weight loss programme.

I must agree with this. I want to travel for a vacation, but my budgets says otherwise. I will be just relaxing at home for the time being.
