Healthy Hotel Hoppers

We understand that each kind of travel: business, holiday, or personal, has its own stresses and temptations and have put some tips together to help you stay healthy.

Here are some useful tips to help you stay fit and healhty while travelling:

  • Plan a physical workout: If you are staying in a hotel, chose one that has a gym, pool or one that is on the sea, or even better plan your holiday around something physical – hiking, biking or canoeing.
  • Keep exercise regular: Get into a routine just like at home. Walk as much as possible, and enquire about running routes…. Even taking the stairs to your room rather than the escalator will help
  • Avoid the temptation of breakfast buffets: Choose fresh fruit, low fat yoghurt and muesli or eggs/omelette with a roasted tomato. The danger is that if you don’t eat a reasonably good breakfast, you will likely indulge in a mid-morning snack you won’t be proud of, or you will gorge yourself at lunch.
  • Drink plenty of water: Carry a bottle around with you at all times and try and make sure water is your main beverage. If you are somewhere hot, double your normal intake.
